MIAT FACTory, the MIAT knowledge centre
The MIAT has a wealth of information and expertise at its fingertips, ranging from facts and figures to details of objects in the MIAT collection. It also includes background information about the subjects dealt with by the museum (Industry, Labour and Textiles) in the form of books, articles, newspaper cuttings, leaflets and websites, and expertise about organizing and managing a museum: from collection management to external relations and communication.
The MIAT now collects all this information in MIAT FACTory, with the museum library as its hub.
If you are a student, scientific researcher or just passionate about industrial heritage, MIAT FACTory is there for you!
MIAT FACTory puts your research subject in a wider context. The museum library provides access to various search engines and enables you to find related items in the MIAT collection or outside. MIAT FACTory tracks down information and expertise about your research in the Belgian and international heritage field and does its best to refer you to experts in your specific field of research.
